Presentation
The Yamaha TAG1 C SandBurst is based on the architecture of the second-generation TransAcoustic series, with a focus on autonomy and immediacy. The idea is simple: to integrate the effects normally used in amplification directly into the guitar, without the need for external hardware.
The system is based on an internal actuator that transmits the effects to the resonator. Unlike loudspeaker distribution, treatments such as reverb and chorus are produced acoustically, using the very structure of the instrument. This creates a natural feeling of space, directly linked to the playing, without any break with the basic sound.
The TAG1 C SandBurst offers several variations of reverb and chorus, accessible directly from the on-board controls. The delay is also available via the mobile app, allowing you to fine-tune the parameters. The Bluetooth connection allows an audio source to be streamed into the guitar, making it easy to work with backing tracks. The built-in looper adds a handy function for layering parts or testing ideas quickly.
The construction is based on a solid Sitka spruce top, combined with mahogany back and sides. This choice ensures a balanced response, with good projection and even reproduction throughout the spectrum. The dreadnought format retains a strong presence at the bottom, while the cutaway allows easy access to the higher positions on the neck.
The SandBurst finish adds a more distinctive aesthetic, without altering the overall balance of the instrument, which remains designed for versatile use, both in acoustic playing and with the built-in functions.
