The YDS-120 offers a faithful and powerful reproduction of the sax sound, allowing you to play without any limitations.

Its breath sensor detects the air you blow into the mouthpiece, driving a digital sound generator which then feeds a loudspeaker to produce the sound, which is transmitted to the outside via an acoustic tube.
All you have to do to produce sound is blow into the specially designed mouthpiece of the YDS-120, without having to worry about the position of your mouthpiece.
What's more, the mouthpiece can be easily removed for cleaning.

The YDS-120 offers exceptional versatility by allowing you to play different types of saxophone, such as soprano, alto, tenor and baritone, with a variety of tones and techniques to suit every musical genre.
With a total of 73 instrument sounds, including 56 saxophone tones, as well as electronic and wind instruments, you can express yourself authentically in virtually any musical style.

The YDS-120's key layout is designed for natural playability and a comfortable feel, based on Yamaha's flagship acoustic saxophone design.
You can also customise the fingerings using the dedicated app, to tailor them to your specific preferences and needs.
This offers a host of features, including advanced instrument and sound processing settings, not available directly on the instrument itself.
