Do you need help?
With Zoom’s Neurig, you get a multi-effects pedal for electric guitar that goes beyond simply stacking pre-programmed sounds. Its DNA engine models the response of amplifiers and effects, taking into account the behaviour of gain and EQ. This approach more faithfully reproduces the reactions of the original hardware, allowing you to recapture nuanced playing sensations rather than simply copying its tone.

The rig management system opens up a vast playground thanks to 75 preset rigs and 200 storable slots. Each rig can incorporate up to 14 amps and effects, with 4 presets to organise sound variations. This allows you to set up multiple signal chains and switch between them without any audio interruption, whilst retaining the tails of delay and reverb.

To shape the sound of a speaker cabinet, the 22 multi-layer IRs for the guitar amp simulator combine three impulse responses recorded at different volume levels. The choice of microphone type and its placement then refines the reproduction. The Neurig also supports third-party IRs and can store up to 50 custom impulse responses. This flexibility allows you to fine-tune the speaker cabinet’s tone with greater precision than a simulation based on a single impulse response.

The Neurig pedal features an effects library comprising 139 stackable effects, ranging from distortion and modulation to delay and reverb. In an area where Zoom excels, a 45-second stereo looper and a tuner compatible with alternative tunings round off the on-board tools. The 32-bit floating-point processing ensures ample headroom for stacking effects.

The Neurig’s two touchscreens make it easy to adjust settings without having to manage everything from another device. The SessionZ Pedal app for iOS and Android adds the ability to edit configurations, create AI-assisted rigs and separate instruments in audio files on your phone. This allows you to organise your sounds using an interface tailored to music creation.
