Allen & Heath - Qu-6D
An ultra-complete 96 kHz digital mixing consoleAllen & Heath's Qu-6D combines DEEP processing power, a modernised interface and Dante integration for flexible and powerful installations.
Presentation
With its redesigned preamps and high-resolution AD/DA converters, the Qu-6D reproduces every nuance of the input signal. XLR/jack combo inputs ensure perfect compatibility with the majority of sources, and the internal processing incorporates advanced tools: parametric EQ, DEEP compressors, gain and feedback assistants, and a 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer for complex vocal contexts such as conferences or broadcasts.
Its user interface, redesigned around a large 7-inch touchscreen and new channel displays, simplifies every stage of the mixing process. The addition of fully customisable layers, reprogrammable SoftKeys and flexible routing makes for a smooth workflow, ideal for technicians coming from the analogue world. The ergonomics remain simple and fast, but far more powerful than those of previous generations.
In terms of connectivity, the Qu-6D is equipped with a 16x16, 96 kHz Dante interface, fully integrated and lockable via EtherCON. This link enables professional interconnection with audio over IP infrastructures, while maintaining a transparent link with other equipment via SLink (128x128 channels). This makes it the nerve centre of a complex audio network, with no need for time-consuming configuration.
Recording and playback are also at the heart of the Qu-6D. It features a 32x32 USB-C interface, a USB-A port for direct stereo, and a multi-channel SD player (32 channels at 48 kHz, 16 channels at 96 kHz). Enough to capture all your sets in studio quality, whether live or in a mobile studio. It's all fully patchable, so you can adapt your workflow to suit each project.
Finally, don't forget the on-board tools designed to make life easier in the field: signal generator, RTA analyser, assignable talkback, MIDI over USB or TCP/IP, and compatibility with the Qu-MixPad and Qu-You apps. In short, the Qu-6D offers a complete, intuitive toolbox designed for today's professional PA applications.
