The B&C Speakers 250AMX 16 Ohm is a 10-inch (25 cm) cone loudspeaker from the Italian manufacturer's historic range. Designed for compact two-way systems, it stands out for its ability to deliver accurate, balanced reproduction from low to midrange, with a frequency response of 65 Hz to 3,500 Hz and sensitivity of 98 dB.
Its robust ferrite motor and 2.5-inch (65 mm) aluminium voice coil mounted on a fibreglass support ensure excellent power handling and thermal stability. It can handle up to 250 W AES and 500 W continuous programme, guaranteeing a high level of sound pressure without perceptible distortion.
Thanks to its resonant frequency (Fs) of 66 Hz and an Xmax of ±2.4 mm, the 250AMX offers good extension at the low end of the spectrum while remaining fast and accurate in the upper midrange. Its rigid die-cast aluminium construction limits parasitic vibrations, while its BL force factor of 14.2 T.m contributes to optimum control of diaphragm movement.
