The 2xDE7 16 Ohm Driver + WG7 Horn assembly is part of the modular design logic proposed by B&C Speakers for compact line array systems. This configuration combines two DE7 compression drivers with a WG7 horn, forming a coherent acoustic unit designed for direct integration into diffusion modules requiring precise control of horizontal coverage.
The 16 ohm version meets specific cabling and system architecture requirements, particularly in configurations where a large number of elements need to be placed in parallel while maintaining a controlled overall load for the amplification. This version offers greater flexibility in line design, making it easier to manage impedances in extended clusters or fixed installations with a high density of modules.
The dual-motor principle contributes to an even distribution of energy at the top end of the spectrum, while maintaining a compact format. This approach favours good level reserve and stable high-frequency reproduction, essential for preserving intelligibility and definition throughout the zone covered. Behaviour remains consistent, even when several modules are coupled together in the same line.
The WG7 horn provides very wide horizontal dispersion, suitable for applications where side coverage needs to remain constant across the entire width of the audience. This geometry contributes to the coherence of the diffusion, by limiting variations in level and timbre between the axis and the peripheral zones. It is particularly appropriate for multi-purpose halls, theatres or small to medium range line array systems.
