B&C Speakers - 8FG64 16 Ohm

The B&C Speakers 8FG64 16 Ohm is an 8-inch (20 cm) loudspeaker designed to deliver clear, detailed sound in the bass, low-midrange and midrange registers. Thanks to its robust ferrite motor and 2.5-inch (64 mm) copper voice coil mounted on a fibreglass support, it delivers a continuous power output of 300 W AES (600 W programme), while maintaining excellent linearity across the entire bandwidth, from 50 to 3000 Hz.

This model stands out for its sensitivity of 92 dB and its meticulous mechanical design. Its lightweight cone, combined with flexible suspension and precise motorisation, ensures smooth, controlled movement. The integration of a demodulation ring reduces harmonic distortion, resulting in a more natural reproduction of timbre and improved sound fidelity at high levels.

With a resonant frequency of 53 Hz and an Xmax of ±7.5 mm, the 8FG64 is particularly effective in compact bass-reflex loudspeakers of around 16 litres, tuned to 50 Hz. Its cast aluminium design ensures perfect rigidity, limiting parasitic resonances while promoting good heat dissipation.
