The DE180 16 Ohm compression driver with conventional connectors is part of B&C Speakers' range of proven, reliable solutions for professional PA loudspeakers.
This version is particularly aimed at manufacturers and integrators who prefer soldered internal cabling or traditional connection methods, offering great freedom of integration into existing or custom designs.
With a 25 mm (1") groove, the DE180 fits naturally into a wide variety of standard horns. Its operating range of between 1 kHz and 17 kHz allows comfortable high-frequency operation, with a recommended minimum cut-off frequency of 2 kHz, guaranteeing stable, controlled operation over time.
This configuration is equally suited to compact two-way loudspeakers and to multi-channel systems designed for homogeneous diffusion.
The polyimide diaphragm is one of the key elements of this engine. Appreciated for its thermal stability and mechanical strength, it ensures even, balanced reproduction of the upper end of the spectrum, even during prolonged use at sustained levels.
The 44 mm aluminium voice coil contributes to this stability by ensuring good heat dissipation and constant efficiency.
