The DE180 16 Ohm compression driver is one of the proven solutions offered by B&C Speakers for small and medium power professional PA speakers.
Its design emphasises stability, acoustic coherence and ease of integration, while retaining a compact format suitable for a wide range of applications.
Featuring a 25 mm (1") throat, the DE180 is ideal for use with a wide variety of standard horns. Its operating range, from 1 kHz to 17 kHz, allows comfortable use in the treble channel, with a recommended minimum cut-off frequency of 2 kHz.
This safety margin contributes to reliable operation over time, while ensuring good readability of the top end of the spectrum in two- or multi-channel systems.
The polyimide diaphragm plays a central role in the motor's behaviour. This material offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, thermal stability and acoustic smoothness.
It enables the DE180 to withstand high levels of continuous power while maintaining balanced, controlled reproduction. The 44 mm aluminium voice coil contributes to this stability, guaranteeing good heat dissipation and high efficiency.
