The DE180 8 Ohm compression driver is part of B&C Speakers' range of robust solutions for medium-power professional PA speakers.
Designed around a classic, tried-and-tested architecture, it aims for stable, consistent and long-lasting high-frequency reproduction, with simple implementation in two-way or multi-way systems.
Featuring a 25 mm (1") throat, the DE180 integrates easily with a wide variety of standard horns. Its useful bandwidth extends from 1 kHz to 17 kHz, allowing comfortable operation in the high register, with a recommended minimum cut-off frequency of around 2 kHz to ensure controlled operation and good long-term performance.
This operating range makes it suitable for compact front-of-house speakers, stage monitors or installed systems.
The polyimide diaphragm is a key element in the performance of the DE180. This material is renowned for its thermal stability and mechanical strength, enabling prolonged operation at sustained power levels.
Combined with a 44 mm aluminium voice coil, it contributes to a smooth reproduction, with good readability at the top of the spectrum and predictable behaviour in professional conditions.
