The B&C Speakers BC DE680TN 8 Ohm is a compression driver designed to deliver detailed and balanced high-frequency reproduction, with a response extending from 1 kHz to 18 kHz. This new version features a completely redesigned diaphragm, incorporating a voice coil with a folded-edge support, as well as an optimized dome and suspension.
These developments allow for better control of diaphragm displacement and deformation, thus reducing distortion and ensuring increased linearity in high frequencies above 10 kHz.
Its 65 mm aluminum voice coil guarantees efficient heat dissipation while maintaining optimal responsiveness for dynamic treble reproduction. The neodymium magnet circuit is equipped with a copper cap to reduce parasitic inductance, improving transient response and expanding the usable frequency range. With a continuous power handling capacity of 80W and a peak capacity of 160W, this driver is designed to operate stably under high loads without loss of sonic definition.
Its 36mm throat diameter ensures compatibility with a wide range of horns, making it easy to integrate into various sound reinforcement configurations. Its mounting is secure thanks to four M6 holes positioned at 90° over a 102mm diameter, ensuring a robust and reliable fit.
Compact with a total diameter of 115mm and a net weight of 1.75kg, it is ideal for both fixed applications and mobile sound systems where high-frequency quality is paramount.
