Boss - DD-200
The BOSS DD-200 Digital Delay Effects Pedal is the delay pedal to use first. It packs the essence of the DD-500 delay pedal into a more compact format, with a selection of 12 different delay modes that cover everything from vintage tape-style delays to modern shimmering effects. You can save custom presets for instant recall, add external controllers like expression pedals and MIDI controllers, and there's even a built-in looper with a recording time of up to 60 seconds. In other words, if you want a delay pedal that does it all, look no further than the BOSS DD-200 Digital Delay Pedal.
Presentation
Twelve modes, infinite possibilities
With twelve different modes available, the DD-200 is capable of delivering almost any delay in a surprisingly compact package. Choose from ultra-clear digital delays, raspy analogue echoes and retro sounds like Roland's Space Echo RE-201 or Binson's Echorec 2. There are also a host of options for creating Reverse effects, Lo-Fi sounds and rhythmic pulses with multiple layers of delay. And with Tera Echo, Shimmer and Pad Echo modes, immersive colourful ambiences are just a knob away.
Quickly adjust your sound
The DD-200 offers a logical interface for setting up inspiring effects very quickly. Essential delay parameters can be set using physical controllers on the front panel. And in each mode, the function of the PARAM knob changes to set the relevant parameters for the chosen type, allowing more control without the need to wade through a menu.
Save and recall your favourite settings
The DD-200 incorporates four memory locations for saving your favourite settings and recalling them during a performance. The Manual setting mirrors the front-panel settings, providing you with a fifth available setting if required. You can switch from one memory to another using a footswitch on the DD-200, and it's possible to limit the range of memory choices for even quicker access. And by activating the Carryover function, the active delay is retained when the memory is changed, allowing smooth transitions between effects.
Advanced real-time controls
By default, the DD-200's multifunction footswitches provide access to basic functions: bypass, memory scrolling, tap tempo and looper control. But you can easily reassign them for Hold, Warp and other functions. External footswitches or expression pedals can be connected, and MIDI input and output are available via compact TRS minijack connectors. Via MIDI, you can daisy-chain pedals from the 200 range and simultaneously select memories on each, as well as control a wide range of functions from devices such as the ES-8 and ES-5 effects switchers.
A built-in looper
Whenever you want, press the DD-200's two footswitches simultaneously to switch to Looper mode. The easy-to-use built-in controllers give you up to 60 seconds of mono recording. And because the looper operates independently, you can develop expressive sound loops with any of the DD-200's delay effects.
