Boss - NEX-SPL Nextone Special

The Boss Nextone Special represents the pinnacle of the Nextone series, designed for picky guitarists looking for an amplifier capable of reproducing the organic behaviour of the most famous tube circuits. Thanks to Tube Logic technology, it solves the dilemma between the weight of vintage amps and the rigidity of digital, delivering impressive playing dynamics and total acoustic versatility for stage and studio.

In terms of design, the unit is housed in a sturdy cabinet measuring 620mm wide and weighing 18kg, and features a 30cm (12") driver specifically calibrated to project a rich, articulate sound. The electronics are rated at 80 W, guaranteeing massive headroom, even in concert situations.

The heart of the amp lies in its Power Amp Select switch, allowing you to switch between the 6V6, 6L6, EL84 and EL34 power sections. Each mode transforms the amp's response to simulate American or British grain. Front-panel controls are comprehensive, with independent Clean and Lead sections including Extra Head Room, Tone, Solo, Boost, Delay and Reverb knobs. To precisely sculpt your tonal signature, the dedicated American and British EQs, as well as Bottom, Top and Presence controls, act directly on the overall texture of the signal.

Interconnectivity is designed for modern environments. The Power Control switch reduces power for tube saturation at low volumes, while the AirFeel switch offers REC, LIVE or BLEND mic simulations via the Line Out (XLR and 1/4" jack) and Rec Out / Phones outputs. Compatible with the GA Foot Controller (GA-FC) for total foot control, the amp also features a USB B port for direct recording and MIDI IN connectors. Supplied with a user manual, power cord and GA-FC sticker, the Nextone Special can be integrated into any professional pedalboard thanks to its effects loop consisting of Send and Return jacks.
