Presentation
Boss has a long-standing reputation when it comes to loopers, and the RC-10R is no exception, bringing a new twist inspired by today's artists who incorporate percussion into their musical loops. The Boss RC-10R gives guitarists and singers a unique and highly versatile tool for developing their creativity and making their live performances even more dynamic.
The Boss RC-10R combines loops and rhythms in the most interactive and elaborate way possible. Unlike other Loop Stations with their very basic rhythm guides, each of the RC-10R's rhythms has a song-like structure complete with various parts. The two-track loops processor works in series and is perfectly synchronised with the rhythm, allowing you to create independent song parts each with its own accompanying rhythm. Two variations of Fills add a natural energy to the transitions between sections, and the Intro and End Fills allow you to start and stop your compositions in an organic way.
The RC-10R is ready to take on any musical style you want to play, from rock to pop, acoustic to Latin, jazz to electro... Over 280 built-in natural and organic rhythms let you choose the one that suits you best to support your compositions. And if you can't find what you're looking for, simply import your own MIDI rhythms using the dedicated software for Mac and PC, and store them in the 50 available user slots. Whatever musical style you choose, you can easily match it with the ideal percussion sound thanks to the 16 different kits, and instantly transform a hard rock groove into a light percussion accompaniment, with everything in between.
Electric guitar and percussion require different amplification. Guitarists use their amps to colour their sound, while drum machines need a transparent amplification system across the entire frequency range. The RC-10R gives you both possibilities by allowing you to send the loop and the rhythms to two separate outputs, and therefore two different amps. But for situations where you don't have two amps or want to simplify your setup, it has a few tricks up its sleeve. Thanks to a number of unique filters, it lets you optimise the guitar and/or percussion sound for the amp available, whether it's a guitar model, studio speakers or a PA system.
