Electric Guitar Effects
A flat-type reverb based on the famous EMTs of the 60s and 70s, made from a large metal plate that vibrated when a signal was sent to it. They sounded particularly good with guitars because of the minimal early reflections and the naturally diminishing warmth of a full reverb. Like these studio-born reverbs, the Talisman includes 2 effects that were most commonly used with these reverbs: a Pre Delay setting to offset the reverb by around 100ms and a High-Pass setting to reduce the reverb's bass. These 2 settings allow you to fine-tune the reverb so that it doesn't interfere with your original signal.

Presentation
Listen to any recording from the 70s and you'll probably hear the sound of a Reverb PLate , a giant mechanical contraption the size of a king-size bed.
It was ubiquitous in the studio and was the only reverb used on Pink Floyd's iconic Dark Side of the Moon album, for example.
What made plate reverb so cool?
It adds ambience, dimension, thickness and depth in an unobtrusive way.
When you listen to your favourite albums from the 70s, you probably don't even realise how much plate reverb you hear...
Go back and listen and refine the sound of the reverb and you'll probably be surprised at how much reverb is actually present.
In the studio, the plate reverb signal was often processed on the way back to the console where things like filtering and delays were applied.
