Presentation
The Cayin SC-6LS MK2 Silver is a stereo valve preamplifier designed to process and control analogue sources within a hi-fi system. Its architecture is based on a Class A circuit incorporating four 12AU7/ECC82 tubes dedicated to linear amplification, as well as two 22DE4 tubes providing rectification for the power supply.
Hand-assembled using point-to-point wiring, the SC-6LS MK2 Silver benefits from a meticulous design featuring a dedicated EI transformer, Multicap capacitors, TAKMAN resistors and silver-plated internal wiring. This selection of components is designed to preserve the integrity of the audio signal throughout the signal path.
This preamplifier features four RCA inputs for connecting multiple analogue sources. Its two independent stereo outputs facilitate connection to one or more power amplifiers, depending on the chosen configuration.
The Cayin SC-6LS MK2 Silver also features a soft-start function lasting approximately thirty seconds, designed to protect the tubes when the unit is switched on. Its aluminium remote control allows you to operate the unit’s main functions from a distance, whilst its frequency response of 5 Hz to 100 kHz helps to preserve the audio signal information across a wide operating range.
