Presentation
The solid basswood body (top, sides and back) measures 336.55 mm wide by 41.28 mm thick, a profile that delivers bass tones without excessive bulk. The 7-ply binding encircles the body with a clean line; the 5-ply tortoiseshell F-hole-style pickguard and black backplate complete the design, with a scale length of 628.65 mm (24.75").
The 3-piece set-thru neck features a C-shaped profile that tapers from 21 mm at the 1st fret to 23 mm at the 12th. The pau ferro fingerboard, with a radius of 355.6 mm (14"), features 22 Medium Vintage Nickel Silver frets, split block mother-of-pearl/abalone inlays and side inlays. Three-ply binding adorns the headstock and fingerboard, whilst the 42.86 mm Tusq nut anchors the strings; the 420 mm double-action truss rod is adjustable beneath a Skyscraper Signature aluminium plate, and the standard-shaped headstock features mother-of-pearl D’Angelico New York and Deluxe Shield logos.
The Satin Chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge and Satin Chrome-finished Grover Super Rotomatic Locking tuners keep the guitar in tune, supported by Satin Chrome locking strap buttons.
The Seymour Duncan DA-59 Humbucker (neck) and Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker (bridge) pickups are controlled by 2 volume controls, 2 tone controls and a 3-position selector switch, wired via 500 kΩ potentiometers to a mono jack output, with four ebony knobs and D’Angelico Electrozinc 10-46 strings fitted as standard. The Deluxe Hardshell Case completes the package.

Spotlight on
D'Angelico is a New York brand of electric guitars that has existed since 1938. First went unnoticed because the guitars were manufactured only by hand in a very small workshop by two luthiers; it is in 2011, at a show at the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, that D'Angelico is noticed. Since then, D'Angelico guitars have been a real success thanks to their quality of manufacture and their price.
