The neodymium magnets give 70% more output than a conventional passive pickup. The midrange slams, the treble is crisp and the bass sinks deep, without ever drooling. In the studio, silence is golden: shielded cables and metal covers keep unwanted noise to a minimum.
And there's comfort too: no more protruding edges that grate on the fingers. Dimarzio has rounded everything off, and the slightly arched surface brings the pickups closer to the strings. The result? More dynamics, more control, more fun. You can slap, tap or bend like a cowboy, but the volume remains stable.
