This Electro-Voice EKX-15P +cover pack combines a hard-hitting active speaker with a padded cover to keep it warm between performances. The EKX-15P pumps out 750W RMS (and up to 1500W peak) in a reinforced wooden cabinet, with a 90° x 60° dispersion that covers a lot of ground. Its 15" driver is backed up by a 1" titanium tweeter, for a frequency response that spills over from 48Hz to 20kHz. On the control side, you get an LCD screen, a QuickSmart DSP with presets and 3-band EQ, and all the connectivity you need to adapt. And when the show's over? You stow the beast in its well-padded, well-tailored EKX-15-CVR case, which opens directly onto the handle. Raw strength, with a little fleece coat.

You can manage the input level, check your limiter, adjust the master volume: it's all there, no fuss. Whether you're a plug-and-play kind of guy or a weekend tinkerer, it's got you covered.
When it comes to construction, we're talking serious business. It's got a 15mm plywood case, a tough EVCoat finish, a steel grille and 8 attachment points for fixed or suspended mounting. Weighing in at a healthy 24.4 kg, it can be placed on a stand via its 35 mm base plate, or transported using the integrated handle. It's no lightweight, but it's still easy to handle if you're not skiing on leg day.
And to make sure it doesn't take a beating on tour, the EKX-15-CVR cover is designed to wrap it up gently. Made from padded nylon, it moulds perfectly to the shape of the speaker, with clever openings for gripping the handle. It'll take the knocks and bumps of transportation while still looking professional. Store, stack and go.
