Electro-Voice - EVIVA 12P

Set it up in a matter of seconds and the Electro-Voice EVIVA 12P is already showing its temperament. Its Class D amp pumps out 1000W and when the SPL rises to 125dB, you realise that this little machine hides a real live performer.

Behind the steel grille, the 12" driver takes bass in its stride, while the tweeter, with its titanium diaphragm and neodymium magnet, carves out high frequencies with the precision of a scalpel. Add to this a crossover set at 2.20 kHz and you get a smooth but sharp transition, designed never to muddy the message.

The patented SST waveguide distributes the sound with 90° x 60° coverage, so every corner of the room gets its dose without faltering. Have you ever played in a place where the corners seemed empty? Here, everything stays lively, uniform and clean.

The connectors do the job too: two XLR/jack mic/line combo inputs, an XLR mix output, and of course Bluetooth, which opens the door to wireless streaming. Want to switch from stereo mix to centralised mono mode? A simple switch and you're done, no hassle.

The DSP adds even more flexibility: a Music mode that breathes wide and a Live mode that concentrates impact, all complemented by a high-pass filter that communicates perfectly with the EVIVA 18SP subwoofer. As a result, you can control your stage like a miniature integrated console, without spending time in the menus.

Despite its muscles, the EVIVA 12P is easy to handle: only 12 kg on the scales, two well-placed handles and non-slip feet that anchor it wherever you want. The kind of speaker that travels a lot but doesn't tire much, with just the right amount of robustness to cope with impromptu tours.
