The supercardioid pick-up pattern of the E-V PL80c vocal microphone focuses on the speaker's or singer's voice, rejecting as much off-axis noise as possible and therefore limiting feedback.
The robust, fine-mesh Memraflex metal grille used on Electro-Voice stage microphones is shock-resistant, and the internal foam acts as a pop filter to prevent sibilance and plosives during performance.
