Presentation
The Electro-Voice Sx300 E 2-way passive PA speaker is a state-of-the-art professional system. The loudspeakers can generate a maximum sound pressure of 131 dB. The Sx300's high-frequency horn is driven by the DH2010A, a full-range driver with a one-inch diameter titanium cone.
The voice coil is coupled to the diaphragm with EV's exclusive Resonant Drive™ technology. This increases and smooths the high-frequency response and reduces the amount of internal equalisation required for a flat frequency response.
The speaker output extends up to 25,000 Hz. An auto-resetting high-frequency protection circuit, EV's PRO™ circuit, is included in the Sx300 to prevent accidental overload and improve system reliability.
The bass section of the Sx300 is designed to Thiele-Small parameters for efficient performance down to 80 Hz. The woofer is a 12-inch Pro-Line DL12Sx unit with beryllium copper lead wire, a low-mass, peripherally wound voice coil and high-temperature materials.
The system combines professional-quality components, arranged in a time-consistent vertical array, with an exceptionally robust Thiele-Small vented enclosure. The result is clear, articulate, high-quality sound.
The use of Electro-Voice's Sx300E delivers natural, yet 'punchy' vocals in noisy rooms with high acoustic reverberation. What's more, the coverage pattern is exceptionally uniform throughout its operating range.
