The EMG 35J is a single-coil pickup encapsulated in a double-coil housing for a 4-string bass. It's designed for players who like the Jazz Bass sound but want a modern feel.
Its rear-facing coil gives it bite and clarity. The highs shine, the mids slam, and the lows stay firmly in place. The sound is balanced, full of detail and very musical.
This microphone is particularly effective for technical or expressive styles. It picks up nuances very well without saturating. The solderless system makes it easy to install at home. Everything is included for quick, clean installation. It works very well either solo or with an EMG 35P neck pickup.
