The EMG P6X is an active pickup designed for 6-string P-type basses. It has the deep, precise character of the classic EMG P6, but with improved dynamics thanks to the X Series preamp. The result is a more natural, more reactive response, which feels closer to that of a passive pickup, while retaining the cleanliness of an active circuit.
With its ceramic magnets and short coils, it delivers a tight low end, balanced midrange and brilliant, but never aggressive, highs. The pickup is equally suited to fingerpicking, slap or fast back-and-forth playing. It's a very solid foundation for funk, rock, fusion or modern gospel styles.
The dynamic range is wide, background noise is virtually non-existent, and installation is quick thanks to the EMG solderless system.
Ideal for bassists who want an active, responsive pick-up that follows their playing without distorting the sound!
