Presentation
The EMG 35JAX-BLK is Jazz Bass version 2.0! It's based on the 35J, but with Alnico magnets and an ultra-dynamic X Series preamp. The result is a more expressive, organic sound, with the same EMG precision.
The coil is positioned towards the bridge for greater punch and brilliance. Harmonics sing, midrange slams, bass remains deep and clean. The X preamp gives you more headroom and better touch sensitivity. You get closer to the feel of a passive mic, with the stability of an active one.
The Alnico magnet softens the high end of the spectrum, for a more natural sound. The mic comes with everything you need: pots, jack, cables and screws. Solderless assembly is super-simple, with no soldering iron required. It fits all 89 mm 4-string basses. Perfect for solo configuration or combined with an EMG neck pickup.
