The EMG 45CS is an active humbucker pickup designed for 6-string basses in the Soapbar long format (4.5" / 115 mm). Designed for strummers looking for a full sound without aggressive highs, this model provides good roundness, clear definition and good dynamics. Thanks to its dual coil loaded with ceramic and steel magnets, it offers a rich bass response, a solid midrange and a softened top end, for a balanced sound that doesn't tire the ear, even at high volumes.
This pickup lends itself particularly well to styles that require both precision and depth: funk, modern rock, soul, electric jazz or even technical metal. When played with the fingers, it reveals its full dynamic range; when slapped, the bass remains punchy but well contained; when picked, it retains a clean attack without becoming too bright.
The 45CS also features EMG's silent preamp, which ensures a clean, consistent signal, even in noisy environments or when configured with effects. No parasitic buzz, no loss of clarity, even when you turn up the gain.
Supplied with everything you need for solderless wiring (EMG Solderless System), this mic is easy to install at home, without a soldering iron.
