The EMG 45DCX is an active pickup designed for 6-string basses in Soapbar format. It features the X Series preamp, for wider dynamic range and improved response. The result is a clear, responsive sound, with precise high frequencies. The ceramic magnet adds just the right amount of bite without ever sounding shrill, and everything stays crisp, even when you're playing loud.
With its low output impedance and very low noise level, it ensures a stable signal. It holds up perfectly on clean attacks, fast playing or slap. No unnecessary saturation, no annoying hiss.
Installation is easy thanks to the EMG solderless system, and everything you need is supplied in the kit. Compared with the classic 45DC, this model offers greater clarity, a more precise response and a little more bite.
