Presentation
The EMG 45P is aimed at bassists who like the Precision grain but want to extend it to a 6-string bass. This pickup adopts the soapbar 45 format, with a redesigned P-type structure for extended necks. What strikes you from the very first notes is the roundness of the bass and the mellowness of the midrange, without ever sacrificing the clarity of the upper end of the spectrum.
The inverted arrangement of the magnets (treble towards the neck) produces a warmer, more fluid sound, ideal for sweeping grooves and bass lines that breathe. You get the warm grain of a vintage pickup, but with a faster response and a more controlled signal.
Active EMG components guarantee a buzz-free signal, even with effects or a long cable. No soldering iron required: Solderless EMG cabling makes the mic easy to install, even at home. An ideal solution for those who want the response of a P mic, but on a larger, more modern instrument.
