The EMG 57-7 has been designed for 7-string guitarists looking for a vintage-inspired grain with the precision of an active pickup. Under its black soapbar cover, the EMG 57-7 uses Alnico V magnets and steel studs for a warm, precise and responsive sound.
Placed in the bridge position, this pickup stands out for its ability to maintain clean, defined bass, even when playing sustained rhythms and lower tunings. It also retains enough clarity and attack to bring out more nuanced solos and expressive leads.
Designed to handle powerful metal riffs as well as blues-rock or jazz fusion passages, it remains precise and dynamic, even when playing palm mutes or complex chords.
