The EMG 57-7H Chrome pickup, with its Alnico V magnets, taps straight for great acoustics. It handles big riffs without overloading the space. Its grain is reminiscent of a PAF, but on steroids. Seven strings, one goal: to get out of the mix without background noise, even when everything else is screaming around you.

One look at the EMG 57-7H Chrome microphone and the tone is set. Enclosed chrome cowling, elongated format, clean wiring. This 7-string pickup doesn't try to please everyone. It gets straight to the sound.
It sits in the bridge, ready to take low chords without shaking. The Alnico V core, boosted by steel, reacts quickly under the fingers. Every note is heard without saturation. Even at high volume, there's no extraneous noise to pollute the signal.
Everything is supplied for installation, without the need for a soldering iron. Cables, active potentiometers, stereo jack, everything is there. Tune-O-Matic format, standard centre distance, no need to worry about installation.
It runs for up to 1500 hours on a 9V battery. It even accepts 27V for those who want to extend the range even further. Voicing? Neither vintage nor modern. It's a straightforward microphone that doesn't argue. It installs, adjusts and does the job. It's solid, functional, full stop.
