Some humbuckers sound great on their own, but drown in a group, whereas with the EMG 57 Bridge Chrome doesn't make that kind of mistake. It stays straight, defined, even in the middle of a wall of sound.
Inspired by PAF, it keeps a warm base, but its active output pushes it much further. Every attack comes through without straining. The Alnico V works with steel poles for a direct response.
Assembly is solderless: everything is supplied. Volume and tone potentiometer, wiring, stereo jack, screws and bolts. Even first-time assembly is stress-free.
The 57 is installed in the bridge position. Its standard 6-string format with 69.8 mm centre distance fits most fixed-bridge guitars. Its 10 kΩ impedance makes it compatible with all active EMG accessories.
It runs on 9V for up to 1,500 hours. It can even handle 27V for those who like to boost their signal. Sober, solid, precise: a straightforward, no-nonsense solution.
