Presentation
The long-axis version of the EMG 57TW Black pickup features a two-part sound architecture. In humbucker mode, it develops an output voltage of 4.5 V. In single-coil mode, the frequency rises to 3.47 kHz for livelier attacks.
Designed for wide-spaced bridge positions, it fits Floyd Rose and similar tremolos. The taller case and neat black finish add an imposing touch.
The solderless EMG quick-connect wiring system simplifies installation. Everything is supplied: cables, stereo jack, diagrams, screws, battery bus and 25K potentiometers.
Even at 9V, it consumes just 160 µA. This means it can run for up to 1,500 hours. It also accepts a voltage of 27V, for those who want to push the limits. This microphone doesn't just follow - it blazes its own trail.

To find out more...
The EMG 57TW Long Axis works well at 18V or more. The dynamic range expands, giving greater clarity and power.
In single-coil mode, you reduce the bass for greater definition. In double-coil mode, you accentuate the midrange for more body.
Mixing the 57TW with a passive microphone creates a rich contrast. The buffered signal prevents level loss.
