Presentation
The EMG 57TW Floyd long-axis chrome pickup packs two voices into one shell. Its triple active coil generates a solid double mode and a sharper single. Push/pull provides access to both, without latency or voltage loss.
Designed for Floyd Rose-style vibrato guitars, it has a 52 mm spacing. Its 28 mm height means it can be mounted directly onto a hollow or solid body. The long shaft potentiometer can be fitted to a thick top.
Output voltage follows the mode: 3.00 V dual, 2.00 V single. Noise level remains low, even at full power. Power consumption never exceeds 160 μA.
Installation is based on the solderless EMG system. Every cable is supplied: battery, signal, TW pickup, B245 bus. A stereo jack plug, two tone controls and battery foam complete the kit. The 57TW Floyd combines strength, nuance and modularity.

To find out more...
The voicing of the EMG 57TW guitar pickup is better matched to a through-body. Sustain gains in thickness, especially in humbucker mode. The triple winding offers a unique dynamic response, rarely found elsewhere.
A handmade overdrive with broken grain rounds it off magnificently. Even direct to the PA, it retains its character. Every attack remains legible, even without a dedicated amp. The push-pull then becomes an instant expression tool.
This pickup handles dirty textures well without drowning. With a forgotten vintage transistor amp, the result is still very inspiring. It colours little, but never remains neutral.
