EMG - 60-7 Humbucker Pickup Ivory

The Humbucker EMG 60-7 dual-coil pickup has been designed to meet the specific needs of 7-string guitars, particularly in the neck position. Where many active pickups become too thick or fuzzy in the low frequencies, the 60-7 delivers controlled clarity, even at low tunings. It lets you play rich chords, arpeggios and leads without ever losing definition.

Its format is inspired by mini-humbuckers, with coils that are more compact than average. This choice of design, combined with ceramic magnets, produces a sound that's precise, dynamic and, above all, highly articulate. You can hear every note, every nuance of the playing, even in the most complex passages.

In the neck position, it delivers a sound that's both round and precise, ideal for melodic solos or jazzy clean parts. In the bridge position, it picks up notes with precision, without blurring them. The sound remains well balanced, without exaggerating either the bass or the treble. It also adds a slight bite to the sound, that little dynamic strike at the beginning of each note, which adds character without being aggressive.

Like all EMG active microphones, it comes with the Solderless system, which allows rapid installation without soldering. Combined with an EMG 81-7, it provides a versatile configuration that covers a wide range of sounds.
