The EMG 60-8H Black pickup unleashes the expressive power of eight strings. Positioned in the neck, it produces a clear, balanced timbre without muffling the mid-range. Its compact size, inspired by the mini-humbucker, promotes good articulation even in dense chords.
The ceramic magnet enhances the attack. Output remains stable, even when strumming hard (up to 4.5 volts). Its low impedance (10 kΩ) and reduced noise (-100 dBV) ensure a clean signal that's ready to pass through any rig.
The microphone requires no grounding. It remains compatible with all the brand's other active models. The included EMG cabling simplifies installation and offers two volumes, two tones and a centralised bus.
It runs on a 9V battery and tolerates up to 27 volts. It all fits into a standard Tune-O-Matic format, spaced at 49 mm. This model provides a complete solution for modern 8-string guitars without modification.
