For your 8-string guitar, the EMG 60-8HA pickup combines a mini-humbucker format with optimised output tension. Its structure favours a clean attack without excess. It delivers a precise, hum-free signal, even under heavy distortion or low tuning.
The microphone is powered by a 27-volt active system. This configuration guarantees a wide dynamic range, even when playing intensively. With very low power consumption (80 microamps), the battery can last up to 3,000 hours without replacement.
Noise levels are extremely low, down to -100 dB. This is a good base for artists recording in the home studio or working in stereo. The 10 kOhms output impedance allows direct compatibility with most preamps.
Installation is quick thanks to EMG's solderless cabling system. No need to solder or ground. All cables, connectors and screws are included, ready for installation on delivery.
