Designed for 8-string guitars, this 66-8H dual-coil active pickup from EMG is ideal for musicians who play progressive metal, djent or even fusion rock, and are looking for a pickup capable of handling extended tones. In the neck position, it delivers a balanced sound, with plenty of bass without excessive saturation, and midrange for good definition in chords and complex riffs.
The pickup delivers a clean attack without any loss of warmth, making fast, technical playing easier to understand. The highs remain crisp, giving punch to high notes, ideal for solo passages or arpeggios. With its low background noise, the pick-up is perfectly suited to both studio recordings and live performances.
The microphone is compatible with all other EMG microphones and with VLPF, EXG, SPC and RPC accessories.
