The EMG 66-8H is an active dual-coil pickup for 8-string guitars, designed to meet the needs of guitarists looking for a clear, precise and powerful sound in the neck position, particularly for progressive metal, djent and fusion rock. Its Alnico V magnets provide natural warmth in the midrange and extended bass, while the ceramic pads ensure excellent definition in the treble, allowing notes to come through with precision, even in complex or fast riffs.
Thanks to EMG's solderless installation system, set-up is quick and easy, making it ideal for easy configuration changes. Compatible with all EMG accessories, this pickup is adaptable to a variety of customisations. Running on a 9 V power supply, it offers low power consumption with a battery life of around 1,500 hours, guaranteeing great reliability on stage or in the studio.
The complete kit includes volume and tone controls, cables and screws for immediate installation. Its 10,000 Ω impedance and high output level ensure a powerful signal with no loss of dynamic range, even with heavy saturation.
