Presentation
The EMG 66 Humbucker Pickup is a dual-coil active pickup designed for 6-string electric guitars, to be installed in the neck position. It uses Alnico magnets to produce a precise, responsive signal, suitable for a variety of playing styles. The sound is clean: each string remains distinct. The lows are deep, the mids have body, and the highs are not too bright. No mush, no sibilance. Whether in chords or solo, everything stays clean and controlled.
It can be used with all the other EMG pickups, creating a coherent whole on the instrument, with no problems of level or sonic character. It's also compatible with EMG correction modules such as SPC (midrange boost), EXG (bass/treble correction) and VLPF (low-pass filter), which allow you to adjust the mic's response to suit your playing style or desired rendition. This compatibility offers real flexibility for personalising your sound without changing the basic cabling.
Installation requires no soldering thanks to the EMG system. Everything you need is included: cables, potentiometers, stereo jack and battery distributor.
