The EMG 66TW offers two modes of operation, an active humbucker and a single active coil, to provide a wide range of sound.
It allows you to go from a clear, precise sound, ideal for jazz or blues, to a powerful, sustained tone, perfect for rock riffs or metal solos. This versatility comes from the use of two types of magnets, ceramic and Alnico, which give a clear sound in single-coil mode and a warmer, more powerful sound in humbucker mode.
The 66TW is ideal for guitarists who play a wide range of styles and want a pick-up that can vary their sound easily.
This pickup comes with a solderless wiring system, so you don't need to solder wires to install it, making assembly quick and accessible, even if you're not an electronics expert.
What's more, thanks to the push-pull potentiometers, you can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil modes simply by pulling or pushing the volume or tone knob, without modifying the wiring or adding external switches.
