Presentation
The EMG 66TW combines two types of magnet to produce a clear, powerful sound that's perfect for a wide range of playing styles. It offers two modes: humbucker, with a dense, powerful sound, suitable for rock and light metal, and single-coil, clearer and more dynamic, ideal for funk, blues or jazz. Switching between these modes is easy thanks to the built-in push-pull system.
This model is fitted with a 19 mm long-axis potentiometer, designed to fit guitars such as Stratocasters. Powered by a 9 V battery, it consumes very little energy and reduces unwanted noise to a minimum for a clean sound, whether in the studio or on stage.
This model is slightly thicker than standard humbuckers, so it's a good idea to check compatibility with your guitar's cavity before you buy.
Even if you've never done any wiring before, you can install this pickup easily thanks to the EMG solderless system, which allows you to plug everything in without getting out the soldering iron.
