The EMG 707TWX is an active pickup for 7-string guitars that lets you switch easily between humbucker and single coil modes using a push/pull switch. It delivers well-defined lows and accurate highs, with dynamics enhanced by the X Series preamp. Its solderless assembly makes it easy to install in just a few minutes.

Presentation
The EMG 707TWX pickup has all the qualities of the original 707, but with a little extra: a simple superimposed coil that can be controlled via a push/pull switch. This pickup effectively corrects the problem of muddy low frequencies on 7-string guitars, restoring body and rich harmonics.
Its large coils and Alnico V magnets ensure power is evenly distributed between bass and treble, for a sound that's both warm and clear.
Fitted with the X Series preamp, this pickup responds with precision to the nuances of playing and offers great dynamics. Unlike conventional tapped humbuckers, the 707TWX uses a separate coil for the single mode, giving two really different, usable timbres.
In neck position, it produces a warm, rounded sound, perfect for melodic solos, rich chords and nuanced playing, ideal for jazz, blues or mellow passages. Its precise reproduction of harmonics makes expressive playing easy.
At the bridge, it delivers a clean, energetic attack, capable of handling the low B without interference, which is ideal for powerful metal or rock rhythms, while retaining clarity and punch on the bass.
This model comes in white, but is also available in other colours.
