The EMG 808X Ivory is a game-changing pickup for 8-string guitars. Designed to tame uncontrolled bass, it redefines clarity on the F# string. Inspired by the 707, it offers a broader response thanks to the X-Series system. The result: every note remains intelligible, even at high gain.
The Alnico V magnet adds bite and maintains tonal balance. This device can be fitted to the neck or bridge as required. It operates on 9V with a generous battery life of 3,000 hours. Output voltage rises to 8.5 V under strum.
Complete solderless wiring makes installation easy. It includes the necessary cables, potentiometers and fixings. An in/out connector easily handles a second microphone.
With its standard Tune-O-Matic spacing (49 mm), it can be integrated into a wide range of configurations. The ivory finish, sober and clear, goes well with guitars with a modern or vintage look. It's a real plus when it comes to asserting your 8-string playing style.
