Designed for 7-string guitarists who move effortlessly from heavy palm mutes to more expressive solos, equipped with Alnico V magnets and the X Series preamp, the EMG 85-7XH retains a precise attack, even at high saturation.
On drop-tuned rhythms, it retains bass definition, while on open strumming, it adds roundness without losing detail. Thanks to its active design, the 85-7XH handles shredding and fast tapping without faltering, always offering a fluid response.
The solderless system makes installation simple, whether you're upgrading a guitar or adding to an existing EMG set. The kit includes everything you need: potentiometers, stereo jack, cables and screws.
It can be used as a neck for smooth leads or as a bridge for powerful riffs. The black chrome finish gives it a discreet but distinctive look. Powered by a 9 V battery, it provides ample autonomy for long rehearsals and concerts.
