Presentation
The EMG 81-7XH is designed for 7-string guitarists who prefer melodic, expressive playing, such as technical solos, legato, tapping and sweep picking. Its design with ceramic and steel magnets produces great clarity on the high notes, while retaining good roundness in the bass.
This pickup captures the subtle nuances of playing very well, in particular spiked harmonics and light attacks, which are essential for progressive, fusion or symphonic metal styles. It also maintains excellent articulation even in fast passages, without saturating or muddying the sound.
Thanks to its Solderless system, assembly is quick and easy, even without soldering experience. The high output and matched impedance make the pickup ideal for drop-tuning, with extended chords, without losing dynamics. Compatible with EMG accessories, it's easy to integrate into a variety of setups.
The gold finish is also available in several other colours.
