The EMG 81-8H Black humbucker pickup is specifically designed for guitarists who use 8-string guitars in low tunings. Its active design, with high-output steel and ceramic magnets, ensures a clean attack and great clarity, even on fast, complex rhythms. This pickup maintains excellent note definition, avoiding any loss of precision or dynamics, even at high tempos.
The built-in preamp stabilises the signal and reduces unwanted noise for a clean, stable sound, even in the presence of effects such as distortion, delay or reverb. Its natural response provides extended sustain without the need for external compression, enhancing legato, bend and slide techniques.
Installation is made easy by a solderless system. The EMG 81-8H Black is also compatible with the entire EMG range, so you can configure it to suit your needs.
