Its closed format reduces interference for a clear, precise sound. Its solderless pre-wired system makes installation quick and easy. It's compatible with all EMG accessories to personalise your setup.

Presentation
The Humbucker EMG 81-8H Chrome pickup is designed for guitarists who play tight and precise, often in low tunings. On staccato, djent-style rhythms, the response remains sharp, without drag or fuzz. It's perfect for jerky playing, aggressive picking and passages of artificial harmonics.
On technical death or modern black riffs, even at high BPM, it keeps every note legible. When soloing, it supports sustain without the need for external compression: legatos remain fluid, bends sing, slides stand out.
With gain pedals, delays or reverbs, the signal remains clean, stable and free from interference. It's also at home on colder, more mechanical sounds, like indus or metalcore.
Installation is simple, with no soldering, and the configuration can be easily modified or upgraded. It also works very well with other EMG neck pickups, such as a 60-8H or 85-8.
