Presentation
The EMG 85-7 is an active pickup for 7-string electric guitar. Its ivory humbucker design is based on one of EMG's earliest models, the 85, but in a 7-string version. It uses Alnico V magnets for a warm sound and balanced frequency response.
This pickup delivers a clear, powerful sound with little noise, thanks to its dual coil and anti-noise design. Its impedance is designed to work well with most amps and effects. Its resonant frequency of around 3.1 kHz brings out the details of the sound for greater clarity and precision. With an output of up to 4.5 V, it can deliver a strong signal without overloading the amp.
Used in neck or bridge position, it produces tones to suit a variety of styles, from blues to metal. The kit includes a volume control, tone control, splitter, stereo jack, cables, screws and mic cable. Thanks to the EMG solderless system, no soldering is required.
