Inspired by the legendary EMG 85, the 85-7H has been designed to broaden the palette of a 7-string guitar, both in neck and bridge position. In the neck position, it shines for soft picking or sweeping leads, bringing roundness and clarity without any burrs. In the bridge position, it gives heavy riffs and palm-mutes a warmer, less clinical edge, perfect for balancing a set with another, more aggressive pickup.
It's an ideal choice for those who like to alternate fast playing, big saturated chords and clean arpeggios without losing precision. From extreme metal to more melodic styles like prog or even amplified blues, it can do it all without betraying the character of the instrument.
