Designed to bring out the full potential of a 7-string guitar, the EMG 85-7H stands out in the neck position for its fluid legato solos, deep bends and natural sustain thanks to its Alnico V magnets. It also has the ability to soften saturation and give more roundness in the bridge position, even on fast, tight riffs and powerful palm-mutes.
It's equally at home on melodic passages and powerful rhythms, keeping every string clear and well defined, even with lots of gain. Whether it's open chords, slides or tapping, the grain remains balanced and lively.
Thanks to the EMG solderless system, it's easy to experiment and combine with other pickups to enrich your set-up.
Ideal for navigating between progressive metal, djent, alternative rock or even cleaner, jazzier ambiences!
